Jackson

🐾💙 MEET JACKSON — LEARNING TO TRUST AGAIN 💙🐾

Jackson is a handsome 1½-year-old long-coat Chihuahua whose world changed when he and several of his doggie friends were surrendered to Plumas Animal Services.

Jackson may have lost the person he once depended on, but he hasn’t lost his chance for a wonderful future. ❤️

This sweet little guy loves the company of other dogs and does very well living with dogs his size or slightly larger. His canine friends help him feel comfortable while he works on something a little harder — learning to trust humans again.

Right now, Jackson needs patience, understanding and the freedom to build relationships at his own pace. We aren’t rushing him. Trust isn’t something we can demand from a dog — it’s something we earn. 🐾

And Jackson is making progress.

For now, Jackson is not yet listed as available for adoption while he continues working through his trust issues. We’ll give him the time he needs to feel safe and confident before asking him to take that next big step.

🌟 WATCH FOR JACKSON! 🌟

When Jackson tells us he’s ready, we’ll move his profile to our Available Dogs — and then his search for the right forever family can begin.

Until then, we’ll keep reminding him that people can be kind, hands can be gentle, and he doesn’t have to hurry. ❤️

🐾 Sometimes rescue isn’t about finding a home right away. Sometimes it’s about giving a dog enough time to believe in people again. 💙
