Piggy

Meet Piggy, a 9-year-old, 5.5-pound female Chihuahua who has faced heartbreak in her life. After the passing of their owner, Piggy and her furry siblings, Itty Bitty and Boo, found themselves in a difficult situation. Despite spending much of their time together, the family couldn't take them in, leading to a period of being left in the backyard.

The journey to Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows was challenging; they were transported in a wire crate in the bed of a truck. Now, Piggy is now current on her vaccinations, spayed and microchipped so she can embark on a new chapter.

Still mourning the loss of her family, Piggy is uncertain about new people, even her foster family. Patience, understanding, and a gentle approach will be essential as Piggy needs time to decompress and learn to trust humans again.
