Meet Kennedy, a teeny-tiny Chihuahua with some of the longest little legs you’ve ever seen! Seriously…where do those legs end? 😂❤️
Kennedy came to us with several other pups after they were surrendered to Plumas Animal Services. We were able to bring them into Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows in July, and Kennedy has been learning what it means to feel safe, have fun and begin trusting people again.
And this little girl has personality!
Kennedy is playful, silly and full of charm. She does well with other dogs under approximately 10 pounds and enjoys having little canine friends around.
She is still learning to completely trust humans, so relationships need to happen on Kennedy’s timeline. Once she decides you’re one of the good ones, though, she’s happy to settle in for a good cuddle. ❤️
Kennedy is a work in progress, and that’s okay. We believe that with patience, consistency and the right home, this tiny girl is going to blossom.

⚠️ Because Kennedy is so tiny, her forever home must have no children or grandchildren under 14 years of age.
This requirement is for Kennedy’s physical safety, not because she has a problem with children. Even with the most careful, well-meaning child, accidents can happen — and with a dog this tiny, one accidental step, fall or squeeze could result in a serious injury.
Kennedy doesn’t need someone to rush her or expect her to be perfect on day one.
She needs someone who can look at this silly, long-legged little girl and say, “You can take your time. We’ll figure this out together.” 🥹❤️
