Babe is an 11-year-old spayed female Chihuahua mix whose world changed suddenly when her beloved human was hospitalized and could no longer care for her. Confused, heartbroken, and unsure of what was happening, she found herself at the county shelter — waiting for someone to notice the sweetness behind those big, soulful eyes.

Thankfully, Babe is now safe with Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows, and she’s ready to begin the next chapter of her story.

Babe is a gentle, loving girl who simply needs time, patience, and a soft place to land. She’s mourning the loss of her person, and she’ll thrive with someone who understands that hearts — even tiny Chihuahua hearts — heal best with kindness and consistency.

This cutie weighs about 16 pounds, loves calm companionship, and has a tender spirit that will absolutely melt into yours once she feels secure. She is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to meet the person who will love her as deeply as she loved before.
